David A. Pape

David A. Pape, Jr., 51, of Iola, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at his home.

David Albert Pape was born on March 5, 1971, to David Albert and Janice Ann (Dixon) Pape in Parsons, Kansas.  He grew up in rural Labette County, attending Fairview and Bartlett Grade Schools and graduating from Labette County High School in 1989.

For many years, David worked as a welder at Chanute Manufacturing.  An outdoorsman at heart, his favorite activities were camping and fishing.

Survivors include:

One son – Dustin Levi Pape of Spokane, Washington

Three grandchildren

His father – David A. Pape, Sr. of Oswego, Kansas

Two brothers – Danny Pape of Oklahoma

George Pape and his wife, Tana, of Oswego, Kansas

One sister – Sheila Pape of Oswego, Kansas

Cousin – Richard Dixon and his wife, Danta, of Iola, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
