David A. Pennington, 56, of Chetopa, passed away early Sunday, June 14, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 1, 1958 in Oswego, Kansas to Arthur and Maxine (Souders) Pennington. He was a lifetime area resident and attended school in Chetopa. Prior to his failing health, David was employed as a welder at Boss Tank in Oswego.
He attended the Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa and enjoyed fishing and working on cars.
Survivors include:
One Son – David A. Pennington, Jr. Columbus, KS
One Daughter – Kesha Mae Pennington Wagoner, OK
One Stepdaughter – Jerri Christmas May Shelton Vinita, OK
Two Step-Grandchildren – Kylie Lier and Jaden Shelton
One Brother – James Pennington and wife, Julia Chetopa, KS
One Sister – Linda Vaughn and husband, Stanley Oswego, KS
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
