Debbie L. Junken, 50, of Mound Valley, died at 9:40 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. She was born September 24, 1962, in Columbia, North Carolina, to J.E. and Peggy Joan (Barnes) Reynolds. While her father was serving in the ministry, the family lived in West Virginia and Missouri before moving to Kansas, at the age of 14, where she had lived since. In 1997, she earned her BSN at Washburn University. Through the years, she had worked in emergency rooms, doctors' offices, the Juvenile Detention Center in Olathe and was currently employed with Mercy Hospital at the Cancer Center of Kansas in Independence. She was a member of the Parsons Church of the Nazarene where she helped with Vacation Bible School and the children's ministry. She enjoyed scrapbooking, interior decorating, crafts, organizing parties and especially enjoyed her involvement with the Mound Valley Flagpole Festival. She and David L. Junken were married November 19, 2009 at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene. He survives of the home. In addition to her husband, survivors include: Three Daughters – Renee Roberts and husband, Rhys Parsons, KS Kristen Ramirez Mound Valley, KS Lisa Hight and husband, Zach Abilene, KS Seven Grandchildren – Maci Ramirez, Kelsey Hernandez, Natalie Steen-Roberts, Michael Roberts, Gavin Hight, Zane Hight and Lincoln Hight Mother and Stepfather – Peggy and James Wintjen Edna, KS Two Brothers – Keith Reynolds and wife, Tammy Labette City, KS Tim Reynolds and wife, Mary Parsons, KS Several Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her father, J.E. Reynolds, on December 6, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Mound Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Memorials are suggested to the Parsons Church of the Nazarene, the Mound Valley Flagpole Festival or the Cancer Center of Kansas. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O.
