Deborah "Debbie" Sue Prewitt, 63, of Parsons, Kansas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Debbie passed away at the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri of a brief illness.

Debbie was born August 1, 1955 in Aledo, Illinois to William Leroy and Ruth Loreane (Strickler) Wagoner. She spent her childhood years in Illinois before moving around the Midwest raising her family. Debbie was an LPN by trade and spent her career working in nursing homes and home health care.

In 2011, Debbie moved to Parsons and has lived there since. She was an active member of the Parsons Nazarene Church and had recently received her district license to minister. Debbie was working toward becoming an ordained minister. She met with several people for discipleship on a weekly basis, served in ministry at the Labette County Jail, and loved to make blankets for the boys at the Youth Crisis Center. Debbie had a passionate love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a true example of 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Debbie is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Amanda) Prewitt of Clintondale, NY, and Adam Prewitt of Missouri, three grandchildren, Tristan, Jaide, and Dominic, and two sisters, Judy Logsdon of Hutchinson, KS, and Ruth Zollars of Parsons, KS, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents, her brother Bill H. Wagoner, one sister, Sandy Kelly, and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Parsons Nazarene Church, located at 310 E. Main Street, Parsons, KS. Friends and Family are invited to come beginning at 10:00 a.m. to spend time sharing beloved memories of Debbie.

Memorials may be made in honor of Debbie to the Youth Crisis Center in Parsons, KS. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
