Debra K. "Debbie" Marks

November 22, 1954 — February 14, 2009

Debra K. "Debbie" Marks, 54, of Parsons, went home to be with her Lord, at 2:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2009, at her home. She had been in failing health the past year.

She was born November 22, 1954, in Parsons, Kansas, to Cecil R. and Pearl J. (McKnight) Overall. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Wichita where she grew up and attended schools.

In 1998, she returned to Parsons where she had lived since. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years in various cities, and most recently had worked at Ruskin Manufacturing and Wal-Mart.

She was a member of the Glory Barn Church in Parsons and enjoyed singing in the choir there. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She and John N. Marks were married February 23, 2002, in Parsons. He survives of the home.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mandy Carr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
