Dennis M. "Mike" Rosenstiel, 67, of Parsons, passed away at 1:53 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2016 at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.
He was born August 9, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to Raymond and Lucille Rosenstiel. As a young boy, he grew up in Derby, Kansas where he attended school and was a 1966 graduate of Derby High School.
On August 6, 1977, he and Edith L. Riley were married in Wichita. In 1990, they moved to Parsons where he worked as a custodian at Labette Community College for 13 years until retiring.
He was a Catholic. He enjoyed all sports in general but especially enjoyed NASCAR and Wichita State University basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Chloe, and gardening.

Four Sons – Kendall Rosenstiel and his wife, Nikkii Parsons, KS
Raymond Rosenstiel and his wife, Andrea Salt Lake City, UT
Rod Sanders Tulsa, OK
Rick Sanders and his wife, Debbie Wichita, KS
Four Grandchildren – Ben Sanders, Madison Rosenstiel, Selena Rosenstiel and Javier Rosenstiel
One Brother – Jack Rosenstiel and his wife, Carmen Derby, KS
One Sister – Sara Wheelock Derby, KS
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith Rosenstiel, on March 10, 2011; and one son, Riley Rosenstiel, on February 1, 2004.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the funeral home.
