Diana J. Morton, 68, of Parsons, died at 7:10 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Parsons Good Samaritan Society.
She was born June 25, 1945 in Parsons, Kansas to Eugene and Ethel (McPeak) Morton. She grew up in Parsons where she attended school.
For a time, she worked in the medical profession as an aide in two Parsons nursing homes and also at Labette County Medical Center and the M-K-T Hospital as a respiratory technician. While living in Oklahoma, she trained quarter horses and thoroughbreds for the race track and owned a restaurant-bar in Guthrie, Oklahoma until returning to Parsons to care for her mother. Through the years, she had also driven 18 wheelers for Bray Trucking and Becker Truck Line in Coffeyville and had driven a bull rack upon occasion.
In earlier years, she had attended Faith United Methodist Church in Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Leslie and William LaRue.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. No services are planned.
