Diann Sexton

Cleta "Diann" Sexton, 60, of Savonburg, Kansas, passed away at her home early Friday, December 9, 2022.

Cleta Diann Wilson was born on July 19, 1962, to Wesley Jerome and Cleta Ann (Kelley) Wilson in Kansas City, Missouri.  She grew up and attended school in the Kansas City area.  After graduating from high school, Diann attended Kansas City College and Bible School in Kansas City, Kansas, earning a Certified Nurse Aide certificate.

On December 13, 1991, Diann and Kenneth L. Sexton were united in marriage in Parsons, Kansas.  While living in Parsons, Diann worked as a certified nurse's aide and certified medication aide at Presbyterian Manor, Elmhaven East and West and Good Samaritan.  For a time, Diann worked at SA Imprints in Parsons.  In 2016, she moved to Savonburg, where she had lived since.

She served on the Savonburg Library Board.  Cooking, trying and perfecting recipes, doing crossword puzzles and watching tv were some of Diann's favorite past times.

Twenty grandchildren

Five great-grandchildren and two on the way

Four brothers – Wesley J. Hunt, III of Seadrift, Texas

Robert L. Wilson of Savonburg, Kansas

Aaron L. Wilson of Savonburg, Kansas

Daniel L. Wilson of Hot Springs, Arkansas

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Jennifer Faller and Melissa Miller; one brother, Matthew D. Wilson; and one sister, Westina K. Wilson.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20. 2022, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.  Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Savonburg.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
