Dianna Ruth Hazley was born on September 11, 1960, to Emma Jane (McConico) Hazley and was "daddy's girl" to Herbert Hazley, Jr. in Oswego, Kansas. She was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023, in Chesapeake, Virginia, with family by her side.

Dianna graduated from Chetopa High School in 1978 and had many jobs throughout her life. She had her cosmetology license, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, and attended Pittsburg State University. After she moved to Chesapeake, Virginia, in 1988, she attended Norfolk State University, continued nursing for 30 years, earned her CDL license and later drove school buses for Chesapeake public schools S.T.O.P. program and HRT in Virginia Beach.

Dianna was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Emma Jane Hazley and Herbert "Mon" Hazley; one sister, Sheila Hazley; and one brother, Herbert Hazley, III.

She leaves behind her partner of 16 years, Melvin MacDonald, four children, Donovan Webb, Travis Webb, Donisha Wright (Roosevelt); and Shontay Hazley; five grandchildren, TyShawn Pouncil, Jaylen Wright, Christian Wright, Victoria Wright, and Sasha Mix; one great-granddaughter, Ava Pouncil; three sisters, Emeline Hazley, Alesia Hazley, and Clara Hazley; and four brothers, Howard Hazley, Thomas Hazley, Danny Hazley and Hubert Hazley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Joplin Holiday Inn, 3402 Arizona Avenue, Joplin, MO. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa, KS. The graveside service in under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Chetopa.
