Dolores Forbes Streck was born August 1, 1917 and passed away March 16, 2008.
Dolores was born in Parsons, Kansas, one of eleven children of Patrick and Mary Elizabeth Forbes.
After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, she married the love of her life, William (Bill) Streck on December 27, 1941. While Bill served overseas in WWII, Dolores worked as a long distance telephone operator. Upon Bill's return, they settled in Parsons where their children, William, Patrick, Mary Lou, John Michael, and Teresa, were born. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1954.
Dolores was an active and devout member of Christ the King Church where she was secretary from 1960 to 1968. She also worked at the Archdiocesan office and Pastoral Council. After retirement, she was a Mercy Auxiliary volunteer for 20 years.
Her family meant the world to her and with the birth of her grandchildren, she became known as "Nana" to all. Our Nana was a woman of great faith, strength and determination.
