Donald D. "Don" Clark, 63, of Altamont, died at 9:31 a.m., Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Landmark Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Donald Dwayne Clark was born on November 23, 1957 in Butler, Missouri to William I. and Wilma J. (Grout) Clark. He grew up and attended schools in the Butler and Harrisonville, Missouri area. Following his graduation from high school, Don began working in grocery stores as a produce manager. He lived in Coffeyville, Kansas before moving to Altamont in 1983. He worked in the grocery store in Altamont for a time. Later, he worked at Cessna in Independence where he learned sheet metal fabrication. He was employed at Ducommun in Parsons until January 2020. He most recently worked for Magnum Systems.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, baseball and football. He was very involved in his children's activities and went to great lengths to ensure they were able to pursue their own interests. Many weekends were spent in Manhattan, attending the KSU football games to watch his children perform in the marching band. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities. He was quick to tell everyone about his family's accomplishments. He was a proud father and Papa.
He was a member of the Altamont United Methodist Church, the Altamont Masonic Lodge, and an active member of the Mirza Shrine and the Divan, and its many clubs and units. He was very proud to bring his son and son-in-law into the organization.
On April 22, 1983, he and Janet Martinie were married in Altamont. She survives of the home.

One Daughter – Amanda Mitchell and her husband, Matthew, of Parsons, Kansas
Three grandchildren – Madison, Jackson, and Lincoln Mitchell
One Sister-in-law – Ronda Clark-McDaniel
Niece – Haley Barrett and family
Nephew – Brock Clark
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Clark.
There will be a private family service held. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. Friends may call at the Altamont United Methodist Church Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to sign the register and view.
