Donald R. "Donnie" Merrill, 43, a resident of the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, died at 12:41 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Labette Health.
He was born March 2, 1964, in Wichita, Kansas, to Richard Dean and Judith Arlene (Kiser) Merrill.
At the age of 2, he entered Winfield State Hospital. He then moved, at the age of 18, to the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center where he has resided since.
He enjoyed watching television and listening to music. He especially looked forward to outings.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
