Donna F. Ammann

May 11, 1952 — April 15, 2024

Rural Parsons

Donna F. Ammann, 71, of rural Parsons, passed away the afternoon of Monday, April 15, 2024, at Freeman Health System in Joplin.

Donna Faye Brown was born on May 11, 1952, to Hershel and Dorothy (Amos) Brown in McCune, Kansas.  She grew up and attended school in McCune, graduating from McCune High School in 1970.

Over the years, Donna worked a number of places in the Parsons area, including Don Divine's restaurant, SAC, the Parsons State Hospital & Training Center, the Flesh Company and at Good Samaritan Society.  Her greatest job, though, started on July 9, 1988, when she and Albert Ammann were united in marriage and she began helping Albert milk cows on their dairy farm.  The couple retired from the dairy in 2016, but Donna continued to help Albert on the farm.

She was an active member of the Remnant Nazarene Church in Parsons, where she always enjoyed being the door greeter.  Her life centered around her family and helping others.  She was always willing to try new things and had an open heart for everyone she met.  A favorite activity was sewing.
