Coffeyville

Donna F. Hartter, 82, of Coffeyville, passed away from this earth to be with her Heavenly Father, whom she loved dearly, at 10:18 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.

Donna Faye Hartter was born on July 4, 1938, to William George and Lucy Ann (Wittmer) Hartter in Sabetha, Kansas. Raised in Sabetha, Donna was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. She was born with cognitive limitations and had a child-like spirit throughout her lifetime. After the death of her father, Donna and her mother lived with her sister, Wilma Elizabeth Hartter King. Donna enjoyed the children at King's Daycare. Since the passing of her sister, Wilma, Donna had been cared for by her niece, Elizabeth Anne Gregory.

She was a member of Westside Christian Church in Coffeyville. An avid colorer and word search/puzzle specialist, Donna also enjoyed dancing, children, hymnals, church, scripture and T.O.P.S.

Donna is survived by a sister-in-law, Loretta Hartter of Sabetha, KS and four generations of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Wilbur Hartter, Eldon Hartter, Harold Hartter and Wilma King.

Donna's family would like to thank the members of Westside Christian Church in Coffeyville; Pastor Mike Elrod; her good friends of T.O.P.S. in Coffeyville; Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; Good Samaritan Society of Parsons; and neighbors, Rick Alloway and Terri Foster. Donna loved everyone and always "found a friend."

Donna's body has been willed to the University of Kansas School of Medicine to help further the education of future medical professionals.

There will be a private family burial service at a later date. Services are under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Westside Christian Church of Coffeyville. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
