Dorothy Marie Carson, 90, of Edwards, Missouri, died at 2:47 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri.
She was born June 26, 1922, in Centralia, Oklahoma, to Robert Clifford and Cora (Riley) Deacon. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Centralia. In earlier years, she worked at the H.D. Lee Garment Factory in Chetopa.
She was a Baptist and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She and Delmar Bert Carson were married December 7, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include:
One Son – Nelson LeRoy Carson Galena, KS
Two Daughters – Peggy Pee and Buddy Simpson Warsaw, MO
Patricia Ann Hurley and her husband, Steve Fairland, OK
Six Grandchildren
Seven Great-Grandchildren
Three Great-Great-Grandchildren
One Sister – Thelma McMurray Madison, IL
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Edna Elm Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
Memorials are suggested to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 346, Chetopa, KS 67336.
