Douglas A. "Doug" Heiskell, 55, of Parsons, died at 2:40 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
He was born August 20, 1957, in Parsons, Kansas, to Vernon and Fernita (Divine) Heiskell.
He grew up and attended schools in Parsons and was a 1975 graduate of Parsons High School. Throughout his adult life, he worked as a concrete finisher.
He was a member of the Parsons Foursquare Church, Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting and Fishing Clubs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, fixing up old cars, and going to garage sales where he was always in pursuit of a "treasure". As an avid Green Bay Packer fan, one of the highlights of his life was meeting Brett Favre.
He and Mary B. (Clugston) Zwahlen were married September 20, 2001, in Parsons. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Heiskell; one brother, "Burly" Heiskell, on January 5, 2002; and two step-granddaughters, Lilly and Annabelle Zwahlen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Parsons Foursquare Church. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
