Douglas L. "Doug" Hinman, 37, of Parsons, went to be with the Lord at 8:42 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
He was born June 22, 1969, in Parsons, Kansas, to William "Marvin" and Ruth Marie (Sturgis) Hinman. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons. He worked for Charlie May Construction and Ruskin Manufacturing before joining his brother, Mickey, in construction work.
He and Melissa Jameson were married. They later divorced. He enjoyed spending time with his sons, hunting, fishing and working on cars.
He was the beloved father of two sons, William Hinman and Wade Hinman, of the home in Parsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, William "Marvin" Hinman in November, 1970; and one sister, Marsha Ward in 1997.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Gandy Cemetery, near Galena, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
