Dovie R. Doyle, 72, of Parsons, passed away at 10:22 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2014 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

She was born February 13, 1942 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to John F. Bevans and Eva Lee (Tiffee) Bevans. She moved with her family to Labette County and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1960.

She lived in Edna and Coffeyville, Kansas. She worked at the Coffeyville Journal, Dixon Industries, and Jensen Products. In 1999, she moved to Parsons where she worked at the Labette County Emergencies Assistance Center.

She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene, and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She married Lee Roy Murphy on September 7, 1966 in Vinita, Oklahoma. They later divorced. On May 14, 1993, she and John Vincent "Benny" Doyle were married in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2004.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Roy Bevans and one grandson, Christopher Murphy.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Church of the Nazarene in Parsons. Burial will be in the Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2104 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
