Effie B. Collins, 55, of Parsons, died at 1:40 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2007, in the Emergency Room at Labette Health.
She was born December 8, 1951, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Josh and Casseal (Ford) Kendrick.
She and Odell Collins were married July 6, 1982, in Rayville, Louisiana. In 1995, her family moved to Parsons, from Louisiana, where she operated a day care in her home.
She enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. She especially enjoyed ministering to people. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18, 2007, at the funeral home.
