Elaine F. Stubblefield, 74, of Chetopa, died at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at her home.
She was born March 19, 1939 in San Miguel, California to Wesley and Lydia (Claussen) Franklin. She graduated from high school in Paso Robles, California and attended Biola University in La Mirada, California.
While living in California and Texas she worked as a licensed vocational nurse.
She had lived in Chetopa the past four years. She had attended the First Baptist Church in Chetopa and enjoyed oil painting and singing.
In 1965, she married Lee Buecker. They later divorced. She married Avril Stubblefield. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include:
Two Daughters – Joyce Poe and husband, Bill Chetopa, KS
Janet Cooper and husband, Glen Idaho
Five Grandchildren
Four Brothers – Leonard, Eddy, Dan and Norman Franklin all of CA
Three Sisters – Esther, Grace and Nita all of CA
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Chetopa.
