Elbert L. Beebe, 85, of Parsons, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2019, at his home.
On November 9, 1934, Elbert Lee Beebe was born to George Andrew and Lilian Rebecca (Clark) Beebe in Coldwater, Kansas. Elbert grew up and attended school in Coldwater until moving with his family to Erie. In 1952 Elbert graduated from Erie High School.
Elbert served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1961. Following his military service, he worked for Safeway stores in Parsons and Springfield, Missouri for many years.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Parsons. His greatest enjoyment came from working with his hands, spending time in his garage and collecting coins.
He married Dolores Collins. The couple later divorced.

Cindy Robertson and her husband, Ryan, of Parsons, Kansas
Pam Oliphant and her husband, Ron, of Chanute, Kansas
Ten Grandchildren
Twelve Great-Grandchildren
Three Brothers – Delbert Beebe of Shawnee, Kansas
Clayton Beebe of Albuquerque, New Mexico
Clifford Beebe of Long Lane, Missouri
One Sister – Dollie Olds of Parsons, Kansas
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Beebe, on July 28, 2018; one granddaughter, Emily Copeland; and five brothers.
Following cremation, there will be a private family burial at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, Kansas.
