Elizabeth "Lizzy" Castorena

Lizzy Castorena, 7, of Parsons, passed away at 3:18 a.m., September 30, 2019, in Springfield, Missouri.

On May 30, 2012, Elizabeth Angel-Lynn "Lizzy" Castorena was born to Victoria L. (Bidwell) Castorena in Coffeyville, KS.  As a baby, Lizzy moved with her family to Parsons.  She was currently a second grader at Garfield Elementary School in Parsons.

Lizzy had a kind heart and many friends.  She enjoyed flowers without bugs, taking pictures, music, art, coloring, crafts, animals and oreos.  Lizzy was a member of the Berean Baptist Church.

Her mother – Victoria L. (Bidwell) Castorena of Parsons, Kansas

Maternal grandparents – Ernest and Casandra Bidwell of Independence, Kansas

Maternal great-grandparents – LeeRoy and Erma Anderson of Joplin, Missouri

Maternal great-grandfather – Ernest Bidwell, Sr. of Galena, Kansas

Maternal aunts – Meagan Leaman and her husband, Will, of Independence, Kansas and Valerie Wamego and her husband, William, of Pawhuska, Oklahoma

Paternal grandmother – Debra Castorena of Edna, Kansas

Paternal great-grandfather – Lou Amann of Dearing, Kansas

Paternal aunt – Tamera Weber

Cousins – Brett, Brooke, Kendra, Liam, Tristin, Jaxon, and Dylan

She was preceded in death by her maternal great- grandmother, Kathryn Bidwell; and her paternal grandfather, David Castorena.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Lizzy at 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2019, at the Seaton Family Pavilion in Forest Park.
