Emily White

Emily White, 58, of McCune, passed away the morning of Monday, July 1, 2019, in her home.

She was born to Marcia Morris on January 26, 1961, in Galesburg, Illinois. As a young girl, she moved with her family and grew up in Hulah Lake, Oklahoma and attended school in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. In the early 1990's, Emily moved to Kansas and had lived in Southeast Kansas ever since.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Two of her favorite activities with them was fishing and shooting guns. She also enjoyed watching television, especially the show "Big Brother."

On December 11, 2008, Emily married Vernon C. "Mike" White. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2009.

Sunny Kirchhofer of McCune, Kansas

One Brother – Bruce Meek of Bartlesville, Oklahoma

Two Sisters – Peggy Jackson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma

Cheryl Meek of Cassville, Missouri

Eight Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon C. "Mike" White, on February 12, 2009; and one brother, Dewayne Meek.

Cremation will take place under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
