Erma Jean Guinn

Erma Jean Seaman Guinn, 87, of Chetopa, passed away at 2:50 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Chetopa Manor.

She was born January 4, 1931 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Charles and Lura May (Randall) Oney.  As a young girl, she moved with her family to the Northeast Oklahoma area, including Bluejacket and Welch, where she attended school and graduated from Welch High School.

She worked as a seamstress at the H.D. Lee garment factory in Chetopa and later in Miami, Oklahoma.

Erma was an active member of the Community Bible Church in Chetopa and its ladies' ministry.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sewing, working puzzles, and fishing.

She and Freddie L. Seaman were married.  He preceded her in death on May 16, 1994.  She and Howard D. Guinn were married on February 18, 1995.  He preceded her in death on February 21, 2014.

Survivors include:

One Son - Ronald Seaman and his wife, Karla, of Chetopa, KS

Four Grandchildren – Joshua Seaman and his wife, Jennifer

Jason Seaman and his wife, Tonia

Rachel Mayfield and her husband, David

Ashley Frazier and her husband, Drew

Ten Great-Grandchildren

One Brother – Arlend Oney and his wife, Lana of Jefferson City, MO

One Sister – Iona Reavis of Vinita, OK

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Freddy Seaman, Jr. on September 30, 2013; two brothers, Leroy and Walter Oney; and two sisters, Letha Todd and Isabell Guinn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa.  Burial will be in Welch Cemetery in Welch, Oklahoma.  The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa.
