Evan T. Hamilton, 24, of Joplin, Missouri and a former Altamont resident, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 in the emergency room of the Mercy Hospital in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
He was born July 8, 1992 at Parsons, Kansas to Billy R. Hamilton, Jr. and Gina L. (Armstrong) Hamilton. He grew up and attended school in Altamont and graduated from the Labette County High School there in 2010. Following high school, Evan attended the Tulsa Tech school in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he studied welding. He later worked for the Smith Chevrolet Company in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In May of 2016, he began working at the O & F Machine Products Company in Joplin where he was currently employed as a machinist.
Evan loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed riding four-wheelers and motorcycles. He also enjoyed mechanical things, fixing cars and anything related to Chevrolet.

Paternal Grandparents: Bill and Mary Hamilton – Ft. Smith, Arkansas
Maternal Great-grandmother: Myra Rowe – Greenwood, Arkansas
Evan was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Burt and Adele Hamilton; great-grandmother, Edith Armstrong; maternal grandfather, Jim Armstrong; great aunt, Glenda Rowland and a cousin Jason Wilson.
A Celebration of Evan's Life and a family visitation, will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont. Cremation will follow.
