Faye W. Blundell

Faye W. Blundell, 60, of Chetopa, passed away at her home Sunday, February 26, 2017.

She was born May 22, 1956 in Oswego, Kansas to Grover M. and Doris M. (McGrady) Fugate.   She grew up in the rural Chetopa and Welch, Oklahoma area.  She attended schools in Welch and graduated in 1974 from Welch High School.

On May 25, 1980, she and Elmer J. "Joe" Blundell were married in Commerce, Oklahoma.  Following marriage, they lived in Chetopa.  For a time, she worked in the kitchen at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Chetopa.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and making fleece blankets.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Blundell, of the home; three sons, Willard J. "W.J." Blundell of Chetopa, Jesse D. Blundell and Charles W. Blundell of the home; one grandson, Austin Levi Blundell; one sister, Kaye H. Barragar, of rural Oswego, KS; and a half-sister, Betty A. Harris, of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa.  The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the church.
