Frank Alderman, 77, of Parsons, died early Monday morning, July 8, 2019 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His death followed a brief illness.
He was born to George and Jeanette (Riggs) Alderman on January 13, 1942, in Parsons. Growing up in Parsons, Frank attended St. Mary's elementary school and graduated from St. Patrick's High School. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. He transferred to Pittsburg State University where he completed his Bachelor's degree.
In June of 1972, he moved his family to Colorado and worked as an insurance broker. He lived in Colorado Springs until 1986. He then moved to the Westminster-Broomfield area northwest of Denver until retiring and returning to Parsons in 2015.
A devout Catholic, Frank enjoyed singing and had been a member of numerous church choirs throughout many years. He was currently a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons. He also held memberships in the Knights of Columbus and the Parsons Kiwanis Club. Spending time with his family and friends, reading, working puzzles and telling jokes were some of Frank's greatest enjoyments.
On June 6, 1964, Frank and Wilmetta Sailsbury were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Parsons. She survives of Parsons.

One brother – Paul Alderman of Manitou Springs, Colorado
Ten grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Jim Alderman; and one sister, Patsy Alderman.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parsons. The rosary will be prayed in the church at 9:30 a.m., immediately prior to the funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
