Frank Ryan, 58, of Parsons, died at 5:55 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the family home of Debbie Ryan in Parsons, following a brief illness.
The son of Jim and Peggy Titus, he was born April 14, 1951, at Mercy Hospital in Parsons, Kansas. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons where he graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1969. While attending St. Pat's, Frank participated in basketball, football, baseball, and held records in shot put, javelin and discus for several years. He later attended Pittsburg State University where he received welding technology training.
He was the owner and operator of Ryan Construction. He later worked numerous construction projects across the country. Through the years, he also worked with his brothers, Mike and Tom.
Frank earned the prestigious honor of Eagle Scout. As a young adult, he enjoyed scuba diving, playing pool and was an acrobatic high diver and performed in local exhibitions. He also enjoyed old western movies and was a John Wayne fan.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Carpenters Local Union No. 1022.
He and Debbie Cesar were married October 7,1972, in Lakeville, Minnesota. They later divorced.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Titus, on April 14, 2001; and his mother, Peggy Titus, on December 14, 2008.
The body has been cremated. Memorials are suggested to the Boy Scouts of America or the American Lung Association. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
