Freda M. Allman, 73, of Galesburg, died at 4:25 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul.
She was born March 22, 1935, in St. Paul, Kansas, to Frederick R. and Ella Mae (Ward) Lindsey. She grew up and attended schools in southeast Kansas.
She and Omer Allman were married May 24, 1952, in Arkansas. Following their marriage, they lived in Arizona and Nevada for 20 years, before moving to southeast Kansas, in the 1980's, where they have lived since.
Through the years, she worked as a certified nursing assistance at Living Skills in St. Paul and Arkhaven Nursing Home in Erie.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, oil painting, and playing music on the accordion and organ. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and two sons.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Hope Cemetery, in rural St. Paul. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
