Geneva J. Grimmett

Geneva J. Grimmett, 66, of Parsons, died at 8:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Darrin Hamilton, in Parsons. She had been in failing health.

She was born December 14, 1942, in Parsons, Kansas, to John Richard and Dorothy Ellen (Green) Ball. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in Parsons and was a graduate of Parsons High School.

On August 11, 1962, she and Leo Grimmett were married in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2005.

In earlier years, she enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed gambling and playing bingo.

One Sister – Janice Evans Parsons, KS

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one granddaughter, Mandy Cook, on November 9, 1988.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in East Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
