George C. Hoggan, 81, of Parsons, passed away the afternoon of Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Labette Health.
George Carl Hoggan, Jr., was born on January 21, 1940, to George Carl and Pearl (Larson) Hoggan in Pocatello, Idaho. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Pocatello, where he graduated from high school.
He and Rosemarie "Ree" Hoggan were united in marriage in Pocatello and made their home there until 1989, when they moved to Omaha, Nebraska. His work with the Union Pacific Railroad transferred the family to Parsons in 1999, where they lived since. He retired from the railroad after 30 years of service.
George was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Parsons. He enjoyed spending time with his family and woodworking.

One son – Aaron Hoggan and his wife, Chelsee, of Parsons, Kansas
Four daughters – Sherry Murphy of Texas
Christine Williams of Texas
Ebbie Wooten of Texas
Tracy Simmons of Texas
One daughter-in-law – Erika Hoggan of Florida
Fifteen grandchildren
Several great-grandchildren
One sister – Diane Green of Pocatello, Idaho
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosemarie, on December 18, 2020; one son, Adam Hoggan; and one brother, Richard Hoggan.
There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Pocatello, Idaho. Friends may stop by at their convenience to view Mr. Hoggan and sign the register from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
