Geraldine Warren, 61, of Parsons, died at 9:48 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2010, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born July 13, 1948, in Parsons, Kansas, to DeVore and Minor (Johnson) Holland. She grew up in Parsons where she attended Douglass and McKinley Elementary Schools, was a 1966 graduate of Parsons High School, and earned an Associate degree from Parsons Jr. College.
Through the years she worked at Fred Ronald Manufacturing, Swift Company, and the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant, retiring from there in 1999 following 22 years of service.
She enjoyed shopping, music, computer games, working crossword puzzles and playing cards. She was a loving and giving person who received great pleasure from helping others.
Geraldine was a faithful Christian and member of the former Tri-State Faith Center, now Kingdom Gates in Parsons. She also enjoyed playing Pokino and was a member of the Pokino Club.
She and Homer Warren, Jr. were married May 22, 1968, in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death October 22, 2002.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, one brother, Don Holland; and one sister, Darnella Elliott; and brother-in-law, Legusta Warren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
