Gina L. Holt

Gina L. Holt, 60, of Parsons, passed away at 10:39 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 21, 1962, to Melvin Cullom and Charlotte E. Pierce in Parsons, Kansas.  Growing up in Parsons, Gina was active throughout her school years in school activities, such as sports and twirling.

After graduating from high school, Gina furthered her education with some college courses.  Over the years, she worked at various Parsons businesses.  In her early days, she worked at fast food restaurants, for over 20 years at CLASS LTD, and was currently employed as a mental and developmental disability technician at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.

Gina enjoyed many pastimes in her life.  She loved sports when she was younger and was known for her skill in playing them.  In her later years, she enjoyed taking trips to casinos with family and friends.  The ultimate pleasure in life was time with her family.  She loved them all dearly, but her grandchildren were her true treasures.

Survivors include:

Two sons – Jeremy Mack and his wife, Michelle, of Coffeyville, Kansas

Jamil Graham and his wife, Brooke, of Topeka, Kansas

One daughter – TaNisha Green of Wichita, Kansas

Ten grandchildren

One brother – Ronald Pierce and his wife, Kathleen, of Parsons, Kansas

Three sisters – Lisa Lawson of Parsons, Kansas

Brenda Pierce of Parsons, Kansas

Dianne Cullom of Olathe, Kansas

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one brother, Donald Pierce; and one sister, Debra Pierce.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
