Gladys M. Jones

Gladys M. Jones, 86, formerly of Parsons, died at 10:00 p.m., Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Methodist Home in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was born September 28, 1920 in Council Grove, Kansas to Ralph Campmier, Sr. and Kittie M. (Belt) Campmier. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in Council Grove and graduated from Council Grove High School.

She and Herbert D. Jones were married June 18, 1938 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. Following marriage, they lived in western Kansas before moving to Parsons from Pratt in 1950. They continued to live in Parsons until 1969 at which time they moved to Topeka. In 1978, they returned to Parsons to make their home.

She loved her church and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert D. Jones on November 25, 1999; one brother, Ralph Campmier; three sisters, Zelma Amos, Genevieve Kidd and Aletha Zgonc; and one grandson, David Jones on January 11, 2002.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
