Gregory A. "Greg" Collins, 65, of Oswego, passed away at 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Oswego Health and Rehab in Oswego.

Gregory Alan Collins was born on November 27, 1955, to Raymond Thomas and Emma Jean (Addis) Collins in Oswego, Kansas.  As a young boy, he grew up in rural Oswego, attending Sherman City Grade School and Service Valley Grade School.  In 1973, Greg graduated from Labette County High School.

For several years, Greg and his brother, Brian, owned and operated an automotive shop in Oswego.  He had also worked as the maintenance man at Service Valley Charter Academy..

Greg was an avid photographer.  He enjoyed collecting and playing guitars; collecting guns and skeet shooting.  Hunting and fishing were two of Greg's favorite activities.  He loved his bird dog, Winston, and he loved spending time with his great niece, Lola.

On August 2, 1975, Greg and Debbie K. Jones were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma.  She survives of the home.

One son – Chris Collins and his husband, Jim Hood, of Herculaneum, Missouri

Several nieces and nephews including, Memory Dandaroy; John Nading; Casie Yount; Jvette Baker; Brad Feagan; Sammy Swanwick; and Aspen Ghanchi

One brother – Brian Collins and his wife, Lori, of Oswego, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister and brother-in-law, Sheryl and John Nading.

No service is planned.  Cremation is under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.

Memorials are suggested to Service Valley Charter Academy.  These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS  67357.
