Gwendolyn Anne Faye Hickerson

Gwendolyn A. F. Hickerson, 72, of Parsons, passed away the morning of Sunday, May 10, 2020, at her home. Her death was unexpected.

Gwendolyn Anne Faye Hickerson was born on September 9, 1947, to Willis G. and Lillian (Miller) Hickerson in Georgetown, Texas. As a young girl, she moved to Parsons with her family. She grew up and attended schools in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School.

She was a member of Watson Memorial Church of God in Christ.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, which was the center of her life. She spent time reading the Bible, cooking and tending her plants. Other things she enjoyed were playing bingo, going to garage sales, doing crosswords and watching the NBA. She was an avid Boston Celtics and Oklahoma Thunder fan.

One son - Parnell Hickerson of Parsons

One daughter – Lillian Kindrick of Parsons

Eight grandchildren – Depreicia Hickerson, Jamaica Kindrick, Kamaiya Kindrick, Hasyah Hickerson, Parnell Hickerson, Jr., LaRiyah Nash, LaDimond Love, and Anyila Natt

Three sisters – Martha Mack of Parsons

Patricia Reece of Marietta, Georgia

Lucy Hickerson of California

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

There will be a private family service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2020, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. A public graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17.
