Harold D. "Bus" Williams, 75, of Chetopa, Kansas died at 1:07 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born August 24, 1937 in Cherokee County, Kansas to William Cleburn Williams and Mary Jewel (Holden) Williams. He attended rural Cherokee County Schools during grade school. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1955.
He worked at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas from 1956 to 1961. Throughout most of his adult life, he had farmed and raised livestock. He enjoyed riding motorcycles when he was younger. He had also enjoyed flying his own "powerchute". He had attended the First Christian Church in Chetopa and Faulkner.
He was united in marriage to Carrie Frances Bodine on January 19, 1957 at Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Kay Winn and her husband, Scott of Owasso, Oklahoma and Sandy Kinion also of Owasso, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Kaysi Moore and her husband, Rocky, Kyle Winn, Lexie Kinion, Lucas Kinion and Mackenzie Williams; twin great-granddaughters, Elle and Kate Moore; two sisters, Lorene Burrows of Paola, Kansas and Ina Mae Carney of Joplin, Missouri as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one son, Darryl who died September 12, 1993.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Oakhill Cemetery at Chetopa. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Monday at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
