Harold M. "Herb" Lamb, 79, of Parsons, passed away at 5:46 p.m., Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.
He was born August 3, 1935 in Parsons, Kansas to Harold M. Lamb, Sr. and Lela L. (Miles) Lamb. He grew up and attended school in Parsons.
For many years, he worked as a fork truck operator at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant. He also worked at Professional Tree Service with his son, Terry, for over 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing, and stock car racing.
On April 18, 1959 he and Sharon Dunnic were married in Parsons. They later divorced.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Lamb, Prairie Village, KS and Terry Lamb and his wife, Debbie, Parsons, KS; one adopted son, Kirby Lamb, Parsons, KS; two adopted daughters, Heather Lamb, Parsons, KS and Tasha Lamb, Tulsa, OK; one grandson, T. J. Lamb and his wife, Shawna, Carl Junction, MO; one great-grandson, Kaden Hunter Lamb; one sister, Cathy Walters, Aurora, CO; a brother-in-law, Lowell Walters, Mesa, AZ; a niece, Tammy Reel and her husband, David, Parsons, KS; and a close friend, Nadine Stevenson, Parsons, KS.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri (Lamb) Stringer, on May 20, 1995; and one brother, Larry Lamb.
Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Memorial services will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Private burial will be in South Mound Cemetery.
