Helen Kuffler, 92, of Parsons, passed away at 3:13 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2018 at Elmhaven East Nursing Home in Parsons.
She was born April 7, 1925 in Viernheim, Germany to Karl and Margarete (Klevenz) Froschauer. She grew up and attended schools in Germany.
On February 1, 1955, she and Glendon L. Kuffler were married in Heidelberg, Germany. During World War II, Helen worked in various factories. One of Helen's proudest moments was on September 15, 1959 when she became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America.
Helen was raised a Catholic. As a young girl in Germany, she enjoyed playing handball. She also loved to go dancing and enjoyed reading and crocheting. In 2005, the couple renewed their wedding vows for their 50 th anniversary. Her husband, Glendon Kuffler, preceded her in death on August 12, 2014.

Two Nieces
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, and one brother-in-law.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2018 at Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
