Henry L. "Hank" Mosher, 77, of Chetopa, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
He was born February 21, 1936 on his great-grandfather's farm near Melrose, Kansas to Fred and Erma (Bruce) Mosher. He was a 1957 graduate of Carl Junction High School and in the 1950's served honorably in the United States Air Force.
Upon his discharge, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver for various employers. He most recently was employed by Contract Freighters, Inc. in Joplin until retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the Spring River Indian Baptist Church and the Mound Valley Baptist Church near Welch, Oklahoma. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include:
One Sister – Freda Grant Chetopa, KS
Nephews – David, William, Joe and Robert Grant; and Michael Mosher
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul L. Mosher and Roy D. Mosher; and one sister, Esther B. King.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Greenlawn Cemetery near Columbus under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon through 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
