Howard B. Cave, 73, of Parsons, died at 11:12 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in the Emergency Room at Labette Health. He had been in failing health.
He was born February 25, 1934, in Parsons, Kansas, to Howard G. and Mildred (Peak) Cave. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School. He worked as an auto parts salesman at Motor Supply Company nearly 40 years, Parsons Motors and Napa Auto Parts before retiring four years ago.
He and Daphne Mae Bennett were married June 12, 1955, at the Altamont Methodist Church. She survives of the home.
He was a member of the S.E.K. Old Time Gas Engine and Tractor Club where he had served as secretary and treasurer. He enjoyed collecting "hit and miss" antique gas engines.
He was a member of the Altamont United Methodist Church.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
