Jack R. McGuire, 56, of Mound Valley died at 11:31 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.
He was born March 28, 1957 in Independence, Kansas to Warren Gene and Ruth (Plotner) McGuire. He grew up and attended schools in Cherryvale. He first worked at the Pleasant View Golf Course in Sycamore. For the past seven years has been employed as a custodian at the Edna Elementary School in Edna, Kansas.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and doing yard work.
He had attended the Mound Valley United Methodist Church.
He and Wanda L. McNickle were married on June 17, 1978 at the Mound Valley United Methodist Church. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Mound Valley United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
