Jack M. Watkins, 62, of Parsons, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Labette Health. His death was unexpected.
Jack Martin Watkins was born on August 7, 1958, to Charles Keith and Maureen Katherine (Born) Watkins in Parsons, Kansas. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons and attended Labette County High School.
For a time, he worked at area gas stations. He was a welder at PowerFlame for 25 years. The last several years Jack has owned and operated his own livestock hauling and buying business. He was working until the day before he passed away.
Working livestock was truly something Jack enjoyed. He liked to go to County fairs and was happy to help the 4-H participants haul their livestock after the fairs were over. He was a Catholic
On February 14, 1987, Jack and Katherine Branson were united in marriage in Atchison, Kansas. She survives of the home.

Two sisters – Osa Johns and her husband, Greg, of Parsons, Kansas
Margie Watkins of Parsons, Kansas
One niece – Megan Schorr of Ohio
One great-nephew – Tommy Schorr
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, infant Joseph and Gary Watkins, who passed away January 23, 2021.
No service has been planned. Cremation is under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
