Jalen D. Green

Jalen Dior Green, 29, passed away on June 3, 2026, in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Jalen was born on August 21, 1996, in Detroit, Michigan, to Robin Green and Terri Lyn (Addis) Nutt.

Jalen grew up in Parsons, Kansas, where he graduated from Parsons High School in 2015. His journey after high school was unique and impressive; he pursued a career as a professional gamer, traveling extensively to participate in tournaments. Among his many travels, Jalen competed in exciting events in Atlanta, Georgia, and internationally in Valencia, Spain in 2017, showcasing his dedication and skill in the gaming world. For several years and most recently, he was employed by Miller’s Professional Imaging in Pittsburg. He briefly worked at the Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, where he left a strong and positive impression on his supervisors

A man of many talents and interests, Jalen was deeply engaged in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments and developed a passionate love for mixed martial arts. The Arise Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Pittsburg was like another family to Jalen and where he honed his skills and gained strength to win tournaments, earning stripes for his belt. His enthusiasm for these pursuits was evident to those around him and reflected his competitive spirit and commitment to personal growth.

Jalen was beloved for his willingness to help others and the joy he brought to any room he entered. His radiant personality and genuine kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Above all, Jalen cherished spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who were a great source of happiness in his life.

His mother - Terri Nutt of Pittsburg, Kansas

His father - Robin Green, and his wife, Stephanie, of West Bloomfield, Michigan

One sister - Tiffany Smart and her husband, Jason, of Parsons, Kansas

One brother - Dracy Green of Detroit, Michigan

Nieces and nephews - Devin Sawyer, Kieara Sawyer, Dontae Sawyer, Amya Smith, Loyalty Smart, and Memphis Smart

Several aunts, uncles and cousins

Jalen was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jesse and Rose Addis; paternal grandparents, Richard Green and Margaret “Cookie” Coles; his brother, Gabriel “Gabe” Nutt; aunts, Janice Kay Wolsey and Val Addis; and uncle, Norman Leroy Amos.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, 405 Main Street, Parsons, Kansas 67357. Following the visitation, the memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
