James Bowman "Jimbo" Fowler, 50, of Mound Valley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, at 9:35 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
He was born on May 3, 1973, to Albert and Linda (Wooten) Fowler in Independence, Kansas. He was raised and attended school in Coffeyville.
For over 15 years, Jimbo worked for Statewide Termite Control.
Jimbo was a devoted Christian and he attended Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma.
His greatest joy came from spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He took pleasure in fishing and doing yardwork and especially working in his garage. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and his favorite show was Walker Texas Ranger.
On August 7, 1998, Jimbo and Misty May Wade were united in marriage in Independence. She survives of the home.

Two daughters – Haylie Wolf and her husband, Bob, of Mound Valley, Kansas
Malori Arredondo and her husband, Rigo, of Neodesha, Kansas
Seven grandchildren – Jasmine, Keira, Jaelyn, Emmett, Irah, Yobani, and Krosby
One sister – Kimberly Stotts of Coffeyville, Kansas
His lifelong friend – Marvin Wren
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eddy Ray Fowler; and his in-laws, Gene and Norma "Tootie" Wade.
The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2023, at Emmanuel Chapel in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, with Brother James Feltner officiating. Burial will follow at the Havana Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest by his loving in-laws. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
Memorials are suggested to help defray final expenses. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
