James E. "Jim" Comer, IV, 65, of Parsons, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at his home.
James Edward Comer was born on June 13, 1960, to James Edward and Dixie (Slane) Comer, III, in San Jose, California.
For almost 40 years, Jim enjoyed his job as a welder at Ruskins Manufacturing in Parsons.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to Rock 'n Roll music, and playing computer games. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Jim and Anna Troxel were united in marriage. The couple later divorced.
Survivors include:
One daughter – Jaime Comer of Parsons, Kansas
Five grandchildren – Christiana Silva, Benny Silva, Jorge Silva, Isabella Silva, and Rachel Villano
One sister – Alicia Comer of Parsons, Kansas
One brother – Robert Comer and his wife, Carmen, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Dixie Lee Marquart, and infant Gidget Comer.
The memorial visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2025 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
