James R. "Jim" Lashbrook, Jr., 59, of Chetopa, passed away at 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Labette Health in Parsons.
He was born September 19, 1956 in Pittsburg, Kansas to James R. Lashbrook, Sr. and Lillie (Helm) Lashbrook. He grew up in Pittsburg where he attended school.
On August 14, 1978, he and Roberta Wilson were married in Chetopa. They later divorced.
Following marriage, they moved to Chetopa where he lived most of his adult life. While living in Chetopa, he worked at Sohigro and later lived in Fredonia ten years where worked as a heavy equipment operator at the rock quarry. Jim then returned to Chetopa where he had lived the past few years.
For a time, he was a volunteer on the Chetopa Fire Department. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing.

One Grandson – Austin Lashbrook
One Brother – Bill Lashbrook Franklin, KS
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa.
