James N. Leroy, 59, of Parsons, passed away at 5:53 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Labette Health.

James Norman Leroy was born on February 1, 1963, to James Wilbur and Louise Yvonne (Parker) Leroy in Chanute, Kansas. He grew up and attended school in Chanute and Erie.

For many years, James worked in the oil fields.

He had attended Parsons Nazarene Church. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. An avid outdoorsman, James enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include:

One daughter – Nisha Ingle of Manhattan, Kansas

Two brothers – Kenneth Leroy of Parsons, Kansas

Paul Leroy of Parsons, Kansas

Two sisters – Darla Boudreaux of Humboldt, Kansas

Deborah Root of Parsons, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
