Jane Wood, 56, of Erie, died at 6:20 a.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital – St. Francis Campus in Wichita with her brother by her side.
She was born August 14, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas to Ernest Vincent and Hattie Marie (Bidwell) Wood. Jane grew up primarily in Wichita and moved to St. Paul, Kansas on September 26, 1984. In May of 1998, she moved to her home in Erie where she resided until her death.
Survivors include one brother, Ernest V. "Ernie" Wood, II and his wife, Roberta, Wichita, KS; her stepfather, Orville "Bud" Lytle and his children; her stepmother, Wanda Wood, and her children; her roommates at her group home in Erie; and the caring staff at ResCare.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Wood; and her mother, Hattie M. Lytle.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience on Wednesday at the funeral home.
