Jean Canfield Schultz, 86, of Chetopa, died at 11:06 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2008, at Labette Health in Parsons.
She was born March 19, 1922, in Scammon, Kansas, to Marvin and Frances (Jones) Canfield. She graduated from Pittsburg High School and later attended Pittsburg State Teachers College in Pittsburg.
She married Frederick S. Schultz on July 13, 1941. She and her husband lived in many states during her husband's career with General Electric. They retired to Chetopa in the early 1970's.
A lifelong homemaker, she was active in her church and in community projects.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Fred, in May, 2000.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery near Hallowell.
